Republic of Ireland claimed a hard-fought 2-2 draw in Serbia in their 2018 World Cup qualifying opener.
Martin O’Neill’s side fought through difficult wet conditions to take the lead courtesy of Jeff Hendricks’ first senior international goal, all before Serbia grabbed a 62nd minute equaliser through Kostic.
Indeed it would be Kostic who would later feature in a rather contentious decision when winning a penalty for his side shortly after his goal.
Have a look at the below video as the Hamburg winger tumbles over Jonathan Walters in quite shameful fashion, right under the nose of referee Viktor Kassai.
Whilst the Rep of Ireland did fight back to claim a valuable point thanks to Daryl Murphy’s first international goal, you can imagine O’Neill and his side being just a bit miffed at the players conduct.
