Garth Crooks had something typically insane to say about Liverpool’s Moreno

Being somewhat of a favourite around these parts, the beautifully mis-informed and off-kiltered weekly ramblings of ‘pundit’ Garth Crooks are often far too hard to ignore.

Previously the former Tottenham striker has laughed in the face of footballing naysayers with extraordinarily bad Team of the Week’s, scared the bejesus out of fellow pundits over Olivier Giroud and, our personal favourite, nigh on nearly put a hit out on referee Mike Dean.

Clearly not wishing to tone things down in any way shape or form this season, Crooks aimed his cross hairs this week at Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno.

Referencing his hilariously incompetent performance during Liverpool’s frantic 4-3 win over Arsenal, the pundit added the following paragraph when talking about Sadio Mane in an unusually sedate Team of the Week selection.

Jurgen Klopp is not averse to spending money if the talent is available. Having spent it wisely on Mane, he should seriously think about selling striker Christian Benteke – as he is surplus to requirements – and buying a decent left-back.

If he keeps Alberto Moreno in the team, he can forget the top four – he’ll get relegated.

Stunning.

Don’t get us wrong, Moreno largely played as-if ice skates had been fastened to stilts, still, we’re sure a Liverpool relegation is rather far from the mind of the most glass half empty fan.

One day we’ll compile a compilation of such ramblings and send it into space for distant civilisations to reflect on.
