There’s no doubt that true purist footballing styles (Tiki Taka, Total Football etc) have improved the spectacle of the game, who can honestly say they don’t enjoy the utter hilarity that is the goal mouth scramble just as much?
Flying high in the Championship with their crosshairs once again set on the Premier League, Middlesbrough took the leagues top spot last night courtesy of a 2-1 home win over Reading.
Aitor Karanka’s men needed a very late goal from substitute Adam Forshaw to get the better of the Royals. And boy what an almighty mix up it was before that ball crossed the line.
Ha ha ha! Scrappiest goal ever! @Clayts15 with the shank, Albert’s knockdown, Nugent lay off, Forshaw finish! #UTB! pic.twitter.com/vNZ7Aa3Jzu
