Everton’s impressive season is the all the more likely to end in silverware after a deserved 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the League Cup quarters last night.
Particular praise was heeded on young former Barcelona trickster Gerard Deulofeu for a spectacular display of skill and guile. A performance so good that his former side may even be in deep thought over activating that 5mil buy back clause previously slapped on the prodigy prior to his summer arrival.
The young Spaniard basically ran Boro ragged all night, here he is planting an unstoppable low drive past Meijas just after leaving defender Ben Gibson on a heap on the floor.
He's magic you knoooooww
