Lazio’s nightmare start to the 2016/17 season looks to have hit another bump in the round after an embarrassing 11 season tickets were sold on the first day of sale.
After somehow managing to balls up the recruitment of much lauded manager Marcelo Bielsa, thousands of the clubs fans took to the streets of Rome last week to protest against club president Claudio Lotito, this latest fall in ticket demand going a long way to prove their discontent.
Just last season, the once Serie A champions managed to shift just 12,000 tickets in their 73,000 capacity arena for a league match.
Following this latest humiliation, not to mention the possibility they may lose a handful of first team stars, it looks like dark days for one of Italy’s biggest clubs.
