With fans aiming pelters at every one associated with the club from the playing stuff to the upper hierarchy of the club ever since their 4-0 mauling at the hands of fierce rivals Barcelona, it’s seemed only a matter of time that the clubs wealth of attacking talent would pull themselves together eventually and deal out an absolute beating to some poor unsuspecting side.
That side just happened to be Rayo Vallecano this weekend as Los Blancos smashed in an incredible 10 goals.
It was made all the remarkable by the fact that the visitors starting the match looking as if a genuine was on the cards, even going ahead 2-1 early on via goals from Antonio Amaya and Jozabed.
Tito and Raúl Baena however truly buried any chance their side had after they were foolishly sent off, allowing Real to take a 4-2 lead into the break. The resulting second half became an absolute walk in the park for Benitez’s side as Gareth Bale bagged four, Karim Benzema three, and Cristiano Ronaldo added two.
