What with his beloved side back in December giving everyone a giggle by sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League, club icon Gary Lineker promised the Twittersphere something that nobody really asked of him – to present MOTD purely in his pants.
Well, what with Leicester all set to clinch the trophy at Old Trafford of all places this weekend, it seems everyone’s favourite crisp peddler is having second thoughts about showing Jermaine Jenas and just about everyone in the country his bare nips….
Speaking to the Radio Times, he commented:
You’ll have to wait and see. I’ve kind of said I’ll have to do it.
The conversation’s been had. I’ve told [the Match of the Day producers] many times, ‘Please tell me I can’t do it’.
When I sent the tweet in December, I categorically knew there was zero chance that we would win.
I’m in good shape. For an old b*****d. I’ll probably work out for the two weeks beforehand very, very hard.
Speaking to the Independent about the exact length of his stunt later on, he added;
I certainly never said anywhere in that tweet that I would do the whole show.
