Everton teammates Williams and Lukaku clash furiously following draw with Man Utd

Manchester United’s Champions League hopes were dealt yet another bitter blow following a 1-1 draw with Everton yesterday evening.

Whilst Jose Mourinho will be bitterly disappointed his side have now dropped points for the second consecutive match, it was very nearly much worse for the home side after Zlatan Ibrahimovic had to rescue a point, courtesy of a penalty deep into injury time.

Whilst the climactic end was box office entertainment for neutrals, Romelu Lukaku couldn’t hide his frustration at club captain Ashley Williams after the former Swansea centre-half hand-balled in the box to give Zlatan his penalty opportunity – with Williams unfortunately seeing red for his sins.

As illustrated in the below unearthed footage, the two very nearly had a coming together when Williams took exception to Lukaku’s conversation with friend Paul Pogba in the wake of the penalty.

With the big Belgium streaming towards the Wales international, Gareth Barry luckily steps in to calm the situation down.

That is presuming of course that the incident didn’t spill over in the changing room.
