Whilst the first Clasico meeting of the season saw a single points shared between the two club giants. Following the epic encounter there can be no doubt, given their superior league placing, that Los Blancos came away from Catalonia with the bigger smiles on their faces.

 

The points looked to be going the way of Barcelona after Luis Suarez opened the scoring after heading in Neymar’s excellent cross, indeed Luis Enrique’s side should have made sure with some further guilt edge opportunities.

In the end, Real Madrid’s steely resolve one out after captain Sergio Ramos scored a late header to silence the home contingent, leading to scenes of jubilation for the travelling side.

       

As Footage from asTV shows, Ramos was quite the popular figure in the away changing room come the final whistle.
