Samir Nasri the first player to be left out by Pep Guardiola for being overweight #MCFC

[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ust a whole day after questions were raised over the tubbiness of another of their attacking options, poor old Samir Nasri has become the first Man City player to feel the wrath of Pep Guardiola and his fitness regime.

Guardiola has already banned such foodstuff as Pizza, as well as commenting that any players who are overweight will not train with the first team.

According to the former Barcelona coach, Samir Nasri did not feature in the Citizens’ two China based Friendlies on the count of the Frenchman returning from his hols, well, a little in the doughy side.

He said:

Sami arrived a little bit overweight but he’s much better now. Still there is a little bit of weight. Last season he was injured and we want to avoid that.

He continued;

The players that are on the pitch they are fit, their weight is in the right place to arrive at many minutes like Tosin [Adarabioyo] today or like Fernandinho or like Kolarov and all the other ones. But hopefully in the next two weeks he will be right with us.

Before giving his opinion on the squads application in general;

I have no complaints about the team, the opposite, I’m really surprised, the fans can be so proud.

Interesting.

And the carb based fascism is for real, here’s what French defender Gael Clichy had to say on the matter;

He cut out some juice and pizza and all the heavy food is not allowed…if you’re weight is too high, you’re not training with the team.
That is the first thing and you can hear it a lot, but for my part it’s the first time any manager has really done it. So we have a few players who are not training with the team yet.
