What with the brilliant absurdity of Leicester City being league champions failing to lose it’s appeal, it was difficult for ANY football fan across the country not to smile wryly whist they picked up their much deserved trophy yesterday afternoon.
Despite some no doubt sore heads and dodgy bellies, the Foxes played out a much deserved 3-1 victory over Everton, with goals coming via a Jamie Vardy brace and a goal from Andy King, to wrap up the last game at the King Power stadium in some style.
An afternoon of dreamlike proportions for the homes side began in spine tingling fashion when Andrea Bocelli stayed true to a promise he made, and sung a stirring rendition of ‘Nessun Dorma’.
Then come the end of the 90, the moment Leicester City lifted that Premier League trophy.
