Dutch side RKC Waalwijk certainly ‘got into the spirit’ of Valentines Day in true Peter Stringfellow fashion after electing to replace the usual club supporting kidlets with full blown models in underwear as the weekends match day mascots.
Taking their places hand in hand with both sets of teams during the Eerste Divisie fixture, players from FC Emmen and RKC Waalwijk led their assigned beauties out in a publicity stunt that has seemingly put gender equality in football all the way back to the 1970’s. Literally like a scene from Zoolander.
RKC’s desision to flaunt the models clearly did wonders for their players match focus, as Emmen walked away 1-0 winners.
