Mauritian President reportedly fast tracks penalties in cup game due to an extreme bout of boredom

There’s a tradition and way of thinking among certain old school Italian coaches that the only perfect football score is 0-0, this would indicate of course that every person on the pitch has fulfilled their defensive and tactical duties. A perfect execution of intricate preparation.

Well, Mauritian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz thinks they stick their boring ass views on the game, they can stick it were the sun don’t shine!

During the Mauritanian Super Cup clash between FC Tevragh-Zeina and ACS Ksar, Aziz was getting a tad bored with the matches tight 1-1 scoreline.

Repelled by the idea of watching 30 more minutes of such durge, the President ordered that both teams simply settle the match by skipping straight to penalties…..and, according to some sources, like a scene from the Sacha Baron Cohen helmed ‘The Dictator’, the match officials felt compelled to listen.

The decision has caused widespread fury in the country, despite the media attention condemning all officials involved, Mauritanian Football Federation President, Ahmed Ould Abderrahmane, has denied all accusations via an official statement.

He goes on;
I deny in the strongest terms the intervention of the President of the Republic.

The decision was made due to organisational issues in accordance with the presidents and the coaches of the two teams.

Just for the record, Tevragh Zeina eventually became the victors.
