Livingston to play their home games at ‘The Tony Macaroni Arena’

If the upper hierarchy at Scottish Championship side Livingston were hoping for publicity with their latest stadium name, they’ve certainly got it.

Having been called the Energy Assets Arena last season, the West Lothian club needed a title that would strike fear into those brave enough to step foot into its hollowed turf.

Personally, we think they’ve nailed it. The club have proudly unveiled their home games are now to be played at ‘The Tony Macaroni Arena’ – Tony Macaroni as in the pizza and pasta restaurant chain.

You can bet local supporters will very much be referring to their spiritual home as Almondvale, the original and blatantly better name.

Has there been a worst stadium name?

These have caught our eye…

Colorado Rapids – Dicks Sporting goods park

Drogheda United – Hunky Dorys Park

Orlando city – the Citrus Bowl

Sturm Graz – Arnold Schwarzenegger Stadium

Witton Albion – Bargain Booze Stadium

BSC Young Boys – Wankdorf Stadion
