The Dublin-born Brady has been in great form for Championship side Norwich this season, scoring seven goals and three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

Such good showing in England’s second division is believed to have caught the attention of Burnley manager Sean Dyche. According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Burnley have made a £13m bid for the 25-year-old left midfielder in an effort to bring him to Turf Moor.

Apart from the bid, Burnley have also sought the help of one of their players Jeff Hendrick, who is a close friend of Brady. Both are also team-mates in the Republic of Ireland national team. For his part, Hendrick is more than willing to lend a hand.

“I text him a lot and talk to him every few days,” Hendrick said. “We grew up together and I have known him since the age of seven – so we have a lot of different conversations.

“For me personally it would be brilliant to have another friend here and I think he would help the squad as well.

“But at the end of the day the decision is his,” Hendrick added.

While it remains to be seen if Burnley will succeed in signing Brady this month, the Clarets are right to pursue to left midfielder. Brady is an accurate passer, notching a 74% successful pass rate this season – no easy feat. With Burnley only recording 70% passing accuracy thus far this season, managing to maintain an average of 44% possession, Brady’s ability to pass well and keep the ball for his team will be of great help.

Sean Dyche is also known for employing width in his tactical approach, with crossing a fundamental part of his game. In that line, Brady can play a pivotal role in Dyche’s system because of his ability to cross the ball.

Robbie Brady has a contract with Norwich until 2018.
