Blanc joins the Chelsea Saga

Since the beginning of the summer transfer window, player transfer have been made across England particular among the big teams. While teams like Manchester united, Arsenal and Liverpool are pushing for early business in the transfer window, uncertainty engulfs one of the big teams as they are yet to confirm their manager for the next season.

Chelsea remains clueless over the position of their tactician for the next season as the financial implication of axing Conte still proving difficult. The Blues faithful were anticipating a new tactician with the beginning of transfer market after the departure of the Italian Antonio Conte but instead they have been treated to a transfer saga which could go on for a while with Laurent Blanc, Maurizio Sarri and Jokanovic linked heavily with the Chelsea job this will definitely affect Chelsea odds next season as predicted by Football betting tips sites.

Sarri’s former employers have already replaced him with Carlo Ancelloti ahead of his proposed move to Chelsea as the Italian refused a new deal with the Seria A outfit. However with his current deal still running till 2020 there is still am 8 million pounds release clause despite no longer being at the helm of affairs in Napoli. This implies that Chelsea will have to fulfil the terms of his clause if they want him to be their tactician for the 2018/2019 season. While the agreement with Sarri looks almost certain, the issue of clause fee with the club have been a sort of an issue which could threaten the chances of Chelsea landing their first choice manager.

Chelsea have also looked in the directions of Frenchman Laurent Blanc as a possible replacement in case the Sarri deal fails to push through. It’s no longer news that the Frenchman have been without job since his departure from PSG in 2016 and the former PSG boss has reportedly agreed terms with the blues amid Sarri’s saga. It is even reported that the Frenchman have already made plans for his backroom staff. Slavisa Jokanovic however have also seemed to be an option as the Fulham boss have been in Chelsea radar recently. The Fulham boss recently won promotion to the premier league and have been linked to a club he used to play for.

Luiz Enrique despite linked heavily to the job all throughout last season has opted not to return to management yet by turning down the offer. One of the major problems hindering Chelsea from securing their desired manager is also the availability of Antonio Conte. The Italian have refused to resign with a year left in his contract and any attempt to fire the tactician will cost the London based outfit a whopping $12.1M dollars a price too high considering other expenditure. Chelsea have also considered Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco but no formal talks have been initiated. It is believed that club is also hoping to bring in a tactician who will be accepted by the players particularly Eden Hazard.

While everything that seems to be becoming clearer, the deals are not yet over the line. As it stands now Conte still remains Chelsea boss.
