Arsenal looking worse-for-wear for Saturday’s FA Cup Final

Arsenal F.C. Needs to Shape Up for FA Cup Final
The upcoming meeting between Arsenal and Chelsea on Saturday the 27th of May will be the most recent in a long rivalry between these two clubs. Chelsea managed to win the very first matchup, which took place on the 9th of November 1907, with a final score of 2 – 1, and also managed to take the lead in the most recent, the Premier League match which took place on the 4th of February this year.

Arsenal has managed to win the most meetings of the two, with 73 to Chelsea’s 62. The biggest victory between these two teams goes to Chelsea, for the 6 – 0 bludgeoning they gave their competitors on the 22nd of March 2014. However, as we get ready for Satruday’s FA Cup Final, Arsenal is looking less likely to take the title, and the beleaguered team has been struggling recently.

Transfer Talk for Arsenal FC
The real change required for Arsenal at this point, after a truly pathetic season, sadly needs to take place at the boardroom level, and should encompass the managerial office as well. While neither prospect seems realistic at this point, that doesn’t mean that new signings couldn’t change things, and this should also be taken into account.

Petr Cech’s failure to impress over the course of this season should mean that Arsenal gets a new goalkeeper in, but there is hope that Wojciech Szczesny could make a successful return after his victorious loan period at Roma. If the team starts looking for an external solution, then Jordan Pickford should be at the top of the list, thanks to his sensational midweek Emirates game. Online betting NZ and that available worldwide certainly took notice of Pickford’s performance, and the powers-that-be should too.

Sead Kolasinac is likely to arrive on a free transfer from Schalke, and he would make an excellent option at left-wingback or left-back, but only if Arsenal intends to stick with the current formation they have in place, which seems unlikely at this point. The largest questions on the horizon are about Ozil and Sanchez’s future, since these players currently have 1 year remaining on their contracts. Sanchez is very likely to leave, and so a talented replacement will be high on Arsenal’s agenda, and there are hopes that Kylian Mbappe could take over.

Possible Changes to Formation for FA Cup Final
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has implied that he may change the side’s formation for the upcoming game on Saturday, because of problems with injuries.

The fact that Laurent Koscielny has been under suspension has resulted that the most likely starts in a 3 – 4 – 3 system on Saturday would have been Shkodran Mustafi or Gabriel Paulista, but neither of these players looks likely to be able to take part.

Football Remains as Unpredictable as Ever
Thanks to the fact that 3 central defenders are out, Wenger may have to convert Nacho Monreal into centre-back, and choose Per Mertesacker to make what would be only his 2nd appearance this season. This is risky when one takes into account that this is Arsenal’s biggest game of this season, and for this reason the Wembley showpiece may have a reversion back to a 4 – 3 – 3 system instead.

Whether Arsenal can pull a rabbit out the hat for the final remains to be seen, but Chelsea fans are hoping that this year, the Cup belongs to them.
