Everton would rather sell talisman to Manchester United according to reports

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku may well dream of a point proving move back to Chelsea this Summer, it seems however that his current employers would much see him move elsewhere, if the latest reports from the Daily Telegraph are to be believed.

The big Belgium international has fired in an impressive 84 goals for both West Brom and the Toffees since his infamous move away from Stamford Bridge, numbers altogether more impressive considering his 23 years.

Although, having riled the upper hierarchy of Everton football club over John Stones, Chelsea may have to look elsewhere if indeed they require a new world class striker.

Friction began between the two clubs after Stones was the subject of two bids from Chelsea, after Stones was persuaded to stay for a further season, the England international soon made way for Manchester City, much to the behest of the Londoners.

The players current club were hopeful of keeping there prized forward after contract negotiations reached an advanced stage, however since talks broke down the Belgian has been nailed on to move to a bigger club.

A possibility Lukaku has sounded out on various occasions.

Indeed Manchester United have become heavy favourites to sign the striker, however much will depend on wether a £100m bid for Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann comes to fruition. The reason being that the United board are unlikely to sanction both transfers given the obscene amount of money changing hands.

Like the Frenchman, a fee of £100m has been slapped on Lukaku by his side, a meet up with friend Paul Pogba possibly being a reason the forward may seek to make the deal a reality.
