As if the interviews with the often frank (often barmy) members of Arsenal TV don’t quite illustrate enough, there’s been somewhat of a toxic atmosphere surrounding the Emirates of late.

Indeed, judging by some quite public reservations with the side’s fortunes, the side’s best player, Alexis Sanchez, looks to be getting the hell out of dodge with Chelsea his most likely destination.

The Express Sport have reported that Arsene Wenger is happy to sell their top scorer, in an attempt to revamp his ailing side. With the Chilean’s contract expiring in 2018, it’s probably deemed sound financial sense to release the forward sooner or risk strengthening a rival for a grand total of zero British pounds.

With Diego Costa continually making kissy faces towards various teams around the world, Antonio Conte will see the former Barca man’s skill-set as the perfect mix of technique and physical power to replace the Spaniard.

A fee of £50million is believed to be in the offing to take Sanchez away from his Arsenal misery, however, with both Manchester United and City keen to nab yet another Arsenal key man, the Blues will need to move fast to avoid a summer bidding war.

Despite stories of friction among the camp, Sanchez has provided an excellent return of 18 goals and 9 assists in the Premier League alone this season.

With the Copa America champion no spring chicken at 28, it is understandable that he sees a potential EPL title all the more realistic at a number of rival clubs.
