Having already netted three goals during his sides 5-0 mauling of Torino on Sunday, Napoli’s Dries Mertens has etched his name into the Serie A record books by smashing in yet another hat-trick – the first time any one has converted consecutive three goal hauls for 40 years.
As if his achievements were’nt impressive enough, the 29-year old Belgian international went and nudged in a fourth to add insult to injury for Joe Hart and his hapless side during the second half. Adding efforts in the 13th, 18th and 22nd minute of Sunday’s encounter, Martins decided to lob the England keeper with astounding grace and poise.
