Chelsea unveil former Bolton defender Marcos Alonso for £23m

Chelsea have unveiled Spaniard Marcos Alonso as the newest member of their Antonio Conte revolution.

After weeks of speculation, the left-back has signed for a reported £23m after his former club Fiorentina announced the news just hours ago.

Here’s the man in his new colours.

After initially starting his career with Real Madrid, the defender was deemed not good enough by the European giants leading to a three year spell with Bolton Wanderers.

Fiorentina would later sign up his services, all before being farmed out on loan to Sunderland for a rather forgettable spell. Returning to his side however, Alonso dug deep to become a highly rated and reliable Serie A left back.
