Xabi Alonso begins Ancelotti’s Bayern tenure with stonking long ranger against Bremen

Whilst the former Reds midfielder has reached the tender age of 34, Xabi Alonso’s starring role in the middle of the Bayern Munch park shows no signs of slowing down after scoring yet another long range corker.

The Bavaria outfit got their Bundesliga season off to a typically unstoppable start with a 6-0 destruction of Werder Bremen.

It took just eight minutes for Carlo Ancelotti’s new side to open the floodgates when Xabi Alonso scored this stonking half-volley from the edge of the area….

The current league champions added to their opponents agony with a Robert Lewandowski hat-trick and a goal apiece from Philipp Lahm and Franck Ribery – a result quickly seeing the side grabbing the divisions first place, where they will no doubt be seen for the next 9 months.
