Lasts nights Swedish top-flight fixture between Jonkoping and Ostersunds had to be abandoned in the last few minutes after a fan attacked a goalkeeper.

Ostersund goalkeeper Aly Keita was shockingly caught unawares by a rogue masked hoodlum who made his way onto the pitch and proceeded to hit the stopper from behind.

Whilst the assailant was quickly removed by stadium security, Keita received treatment on the pitch and, according to match delegate Nicklas Bengtsson, was left “physically and psychologically damaged”.

Naturally.

A statement read by Jonkoping police commander Peter Nordengard confirmed that the 17-year-old hooligan also claimed there was an explosive device at the game:
He is under arrest, we have informed the prosecutor of the arrest and interviews will be conducted with him about the suspected breaches of the law.

Truly shocking stuff. Let’s hope the bell-end responsible gets some justice.
