Crystal Palace have secured the signing of backup Chelsea striker Loic Remy on a one-year loan deal.
The 29-year-old joins up with fellow new attacking acquisition Christian Benteke to mount quite the impressive strike force for the Eagles.
Remy previously played under current manager Alan Pardew at Newcastle during a stellar spell. Despite playing in a bang-average side, Remy still fired in 14 goals in 24 appearances for the Magpies, later leading to Jose Mourinho plumping for his services at Chelsea.
Whilst the season has begun in rather glum fashion, the Selhurst Park faithful will no doubt he please at their sides newest recruit.
It’s far better than seeing him rot on Chelsea’s bench at least.
