Watch: Superb Wales beat Belgium 3-1 to fire themselves into Euro 2016 semi finals

Wow, it almost seems absurd that another terrible tournament year for England would be highlighted by the success of one of their fellow home nations.

Not only are neighbours Wales giving a decent account of themselves at this tournament, they’ve only got a superb chance of winning the ruddy thing.

Last nights opponents Belgium, what with their embarrassment of attacking riches, were expected to send the minnows home. only Chris Coleman and his merry men, arming themselves with a seemingly invisible team spirit, very much had other ideas.

Despite a rip roarer of an effort by Chelsea target Radja Nainggolan to get the Red Devils off to a great start, goals from captain Ashley Williams (who defied a doctor’s recommendation not to play due to a shoulder injury), Readings Hal Robson-Kanu and Bunley’s Sam Vokes put Belgiums so called ‘golden generation’ to the sword with an astounding 3-1 victory.

Championship striker Robson Kanu’s effort in particular will go down in Welsh football folklore due to its Cruyff-esque nature….Have a look at the goals for yourself.

With an iffy looking Portugal side their next opponents, who know’s what Coleman’s side can do in the Semi’s.

Astounding stuff from the Welsh Dragons. A country filled with pride watching their national team. You can only sit and wonder what that feels like….
