Nolito completes £13.8M move to Manchester City

After some insipid performances for England this short-lived Euro’s campaign, Man City fans will no doubt be overjoyed that Raheem Sterling now has some stiff competition in the shape of Spaniard Manuel Agudo Duran – better known as Nolito.

The 29-year-old forward joins from Celta Vigo for a deal reportedly worth around £14million. After scoring 39 goals in 104 appearances over a three season period, its clear that left winger-come-striker knows his way to the ol’ onion bag. Of course such club form didn’t go unnoticed at the international stage after Vincente Del Bosque used him in his Spain starting XI before their unexpected exit from the ongoing European Championships.

Having worked with him under Barca’s B team years prior, Nolito becomes Pep’s second major summer signing after Ilkay Gundogan was brought in from Borussia Dortmund last month.
