Liverpool’s Jordan Ibe joins Bournemouth for £15million

After being the subject of match transfer tittle tattle following the release of the youngster in West Ham getup, Jordan Ibe has upped stciks and made the move to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.

The Cherries have signed the promising 20-year old for a reported fee of £15million, a club record.

In all Ibe had appeared for Liverpool on 58 occasions since making his move from Wycombe Wanderers, largely from the substitute bench, however, under Klopp has had his pathway to the Red’s first team blocked by the incoming attacking acquisitions.

Clearly chuffed at the prospect of singing the youngster, Bournemouth’s chief executive Neill Blake commented:

We’re delighted to bring Jordon to the football club.

He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him to continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect.

We’ve now signed five players this summer, all of whom have an abundance of potential.

It shows that we’re serious about nurturing talent at this football club and we have the long term in mind when we say we want to stay in the Premier League.

Must say, seems like a superb bit of business by the Cherries. Being such a rough diamond, it’s great to see that Ibe is going to get the required playing time to become the Premier League monster his talent suggests.
