Juventus wrap up the signing of Napoli hitman Gonzalo Higuaín £75.3m

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s been one of the the transfer windows biggest saga, finally, queuing up much much heartbreak in Naples, Gonzalo Higuaín is officially a Juventus player. The Argentine has indeed become the third most expensive player in history after signing for for the Old Lady from Napoli in a deal worth €90m (£75.3m).

The former Real Madrid player netted a Serie A record haul of 36 goals in 35 games, quickly propelling him to club legend status alongside the likes of Diego Maradona. With Juve being such big rivals to the club, naturally the locals haven’t taken the news well.

A statement on juventus.com read: “Juventus can today confirm it has purchased the registration rights of Gonzalo Higuaín for €90m, payable in two financial years. The player has agreed a five-year contract.”

Whilst many Manchester United fans will see the deal as an open gateway to capturing the signing of Pogba, Juventus have reiterated that they are still not obligated to sell any of their top players, despite the massive hit to their purse strings.

We will very much see how that pans out for them in the coming weeks.
