Just as they’ve been busy signalling their intent by offering a massive £30m for current Liverpool benchwarmer Christian Benteke, Crystal Palace have unveiled former West Ham centre-half James Tomkins as their brand new signing.
The Eagles have parted with £10m of their hard earned TV money to prise the English centre half away from the Hammers.
Whilst the man doesn’t exactly seem too overjoyed at the prospect, Tomkins has signed a 5 year deal with his new side after being involved with the West Ham set up since the age of 7.
The defender joins fellow new signings Andros Townsend and Steve Mandanda.
