Lazio playmaker Felipe Anderson has set his sights on a fresh challenge following his side’s failure to qualify for Europe next season. Premier League giants Manchester United had failed with a £40m approach for the player last summer.
Anderson had a tough campaign with the Italian outfit last term as he struggled to find himself a regular place in the starting line-up.
ESPN says the 23-year-old could be on the move this summer after he signalled his agent to look for potential offers. The Brazilian is said to favour a switch to the Premier League and this gives Chelsea the advantage, given they are on the search for an attacking midfielder.
In spite of the player’s drop in form, Lazio will demand fees in excess of £42m for his sale in the transfer window.
The former Santos man has appeared in 99 games for the Serie A side, netting 21 goals in the process.
