Awkward: Hristo Stoichkov ribs Luis Figo over Barcelona exit on Mexican TV (Video)

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]ver since making the move across to fierce rivals Real Madrid in 2000, Luis Figo’s placing as one of Barcelona’s greatest players as always been earmarked with the title ‘traitor’ by its most obsessive fans. Indeed despite, claiming Champions League glory with the Galacticos, his perceived treachery is still seen as his most highlighted moment in an outstanding professional career.

Clearly feeling that the former Portuguese international hasn’t quite received enough abuse for decision to move away, Bulgarian legend Hristo Stoichkov, no shrinking violet let’s remember, took an opportunity on Mexican TV’s ‘Futbol Club’ to rib his former fellow Catalan teammate.

Appearing alongside his former Barcleona teammate on this show, the Bulgarian took the opportunity to ask a cheeky ‘True or False’ question:

‘When you go to Barcelona, do the people still insult you?’

‘No’, replied Figo.

‘Well, I do‘ retorted Stoichkov.

And yes, it’s as awkward as you’d imagine
