“I will kill you, I will kill you” – Conte unfurled a torrent of abuse on own players during Belgium win (video)

Being the hatchet man among some truly talented players at Juventus, Antonio Conte intense work ethic saw him achieve what many players only dream of during his playing years with the Old Lady.

Now in charge of Italy, the former midfielder has very much brought this hardened no-nonsense approach into his management style. If the Chelsea players thought they had it bad under Jose Mourinho, they may be in for a rude awakening under Conte.

Under the helm of such a tough to please gaffer, an unfancied Azzuri side royally turned over Belgium 2-0 to kick off their Euro 2016 campaign with a bang.

Whilst many fans at home expect little of a side without star names, Tye man on the touchline clearly expects the world…and more.

Here’s Conte giving his players the rollicking of their lives, repeatedly shouting ‘”I will kill you”, just after Romelu Lukaku missed a glorious opportunity mid match. Scenes made all the more disturbing by the fact that Antonio Conte had suffered a bloodied nose after excessively celebrating his side’s opener.

After the match the Italian Camacho was far more complementary over his team efforts, commenting;

“Tonight showed that nothing is written in football on paper, everything is decided on the pitch,”

“We need to do the talking with deeds on the pitch rather than words. I’ve been saying so since the start, I’m not telling lies, this is a squad first and foremost of men.”

“I don’t think a single game can change people’s perception. That would mean those assessing earlier know nothing about football, I’m sorry to say.”

“The odds really were against us today but that’s what is great about football, that occasionally the odds can be overturned if you should desire, willingness, commitment and passion.”

“I must not deny the fact I was very emotional today. Being head coach of the national side at the Euros is not an everyday experience,” he said.

“Much the same for the players, it’s unique to put on the national team colours.

“We all agree to give 100% to not go away with any ifs and buts. We’re all pulling in the same direction which is significant. The aim is to get as far as we deserve to be.

“I believe that supporters when they see 23 players giving their all on the pitch, players willing to spill their blood, sweat and tears, they really appreciate that regardless of what they have in talent.”

What a truly inspiring yet terrifying manager.
