After Copa America heart-break courtesy of a rampant Chile side last time out, you’d think Argentina would be chomping at the bit in anticipation at potentially avenging their final defeat.
Judging on these post match pictures….not so much.
After savaging surprise package Venuzuela 4-1 in the Copa America Centenario quarter-finals, courtesy of goals from likely lads Gonzalo Higuain and Leo Messi (now joint record scorer with Gabriel Batistuta – 54), rather than capturing a group of players in wild euphoria, the image record one glorious moment in which Leo Messi, Sergio Aguero, Javier Mascharo, Gonzalo Higuian and others were all glancing down on their phones.
Whether its extreme focus on their next semi-final opponents (hosts USA) or just a chance picture taken when all the hi-fiving had stopped, somethings doesn’t quite seem right to us.
