Veteran Dirk Kuyt wins the Eredivisie Player of the Year #LFC (Video)

Through his six years spell at Liverpool, Dirk Kuyt, whether playing up fron, on the wing or even wing back, forged a reputation as a player his team could truly count on.

Now at the tender age of 35 and playing for his former club Feyenoord, the Dutch international shows no evidence of slowing down as he picked up a richly deserved Eredivisie Player of the Year award.

In a brilliant season, Kuyt not only claimed a Dutch Cup but became the oldest player to score 15 goals in the Eredivisie since Faas Wilkes and Abe Lenstra in the 1959-60 campaign, with his eventual tally reaching 19.

Given that his side finished in third place, a massive 21 points behind eventual winners PSV, it’s quite the achievement for the veteran.

Here’s the man picking up his award.
