England’s first training session before Euro 2016 had an unwanted surprise guest, much to the mild astonishment of the squad.
Those not involved in the FA or Europa League final’s were busy trying to impress the hell out of Roy Hodgson when a young man wearing England training gear appeared from the among the spectators and ran on to the pitch. It was all slightly reminiscent for a certain Jason Bent and his National side escapades.
Whilst the incident seemed like harmless fun, there was still questions asked over the lack of security, what with the incident at Old Trafford this weekend being such a high profile story.
A spokeswoman for the FA commented.
“The person in question was the son of an invited Club Wembley member who had to follow a formal registration process on entry to St George’s Park,” a spokesperson said.
“The FA were aware of his identity and we will take appropriate action in due course as a result of this unacceptable behaviour.”
