One things been for sure in this tipsy turvy season of surprises, Michael Owen isn’t going to win any awards for punditry any time soon.
Whether it’s his monotonous ‘colour commentator’ contributions or his lack of real insight, the former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker just can’t get BT Sport viewers onside.
Now, judging from his recent appearance on the abomination that is ‘Fletch & Sav’, we’re just worried about the man.
Talking about the unfairly slated Everton centre half John Stones, he spits out;
“The best team is Barcelona in the world. Out of the England [national team], he could play for Barcelona. He’s probably the only player now who could go into that Barcelona team now and play. He could play 10 years there and be sensational”
