As Aston Villa hurtle towards the inevitable abyss that is the Championship, it’s quite understandable for club supporters to be ever so slightly naffed off at having to witness humiliating display after the next.
Whilst it would be a tad harsh to come to the conclusion that Villa players simply didn’t care, Jolean Lescott didn’t do the club any favours when ‘accidentally’ tweeting a picture of his £125,000 sports car just after his side had been destroyed 6-0 to Liverpool at home.
After that social media gaffe, the squad have been treading on egg shells hoping to avoid another social media mauling.
Until now.
Both Micah Richards and teammate Gabby Agbonlahor took the recent international break as a chance to kick back in Dubai, unfortunate for Gabby his mug was spread across the Daily Star enjoying a shisha pipe.
Later Richards did the pair no favours by getting into an Instagram spat after taking exception to a posted picture of the pair, to which he responded “don’t tag me in your stupid photos u clown!” Excuse us for having a few days away after a long hard season.”
Jeez, can’t we just end their season. What an ugly mess.
