Italian band turn Guardian journalist article about Leicester into acoustic ballad

Whilst it’s certainly no Diamond Lights, unsigned Italian band Marcilo Agro – or more specifically, the band’s football-related side project, Marcilo Agro FC – have conjured up this delightful little acoustic ballad based on Leicester City’s on the pitch fortunes.

Using whimsy Guardian journalist Barney Ronay’s January piece ‘Don’t Call Leicester A Fairytale – You’ll Miss What They’re Doing‘ for lyrical influence, members of the band feature in the video for ‘Don’t Call Leicester’ whilst lounging around watching footage of fellow Italian Claudio Ranieri looking on intently.

Have a look at the below masterpiece….

Whilst the band don’t exclusively delve into the world of football for all their stuff, it’s been said a follow up will feature the life and times of Louis Van Gaal….more than worth a gander at their Facebook page we feel then.
