Benitez arranges special meeting with women who tumbled down St James’ park with tribute banner

Newcastle fan Zoe Ellison became a short lived internet sensation recently after tumbling down the steps of St James’ park armed with a ‘Rafa Welcome’ banner.

Whilst the fall would no doubt caused some minor injuries, not to mention a quick sharp shock to the old pride, Rafa has hopefully gone and made things a little better for poor Zoe by inviting her to Newcastle’s training ground over the weekend.

Speaking on his official website, the former Real Madrid boss commented;

As most of you know, Zoe joined us at the Leicester match holding a big banner to welcome and support me. Unfortunately, she tripped and fell. She has fully recovered and today I was really happy to be able to meet her and say thank you.
Zoe’s gesture has made me remember lots of good moments as a Premier League Manager where so many fans has been supportive along the years.
I can have that amazing feeling again with the Newcastle fans that have warmly welcomed me and my staff and showing an unconditional support since my first day in Tyneside.
Howay the Lads!!!

A good is egg is Rafa. Good on the man.
