If you were wondering what made the Barcelona prodigy plump for a move to the West Midlands (because it wasn’t working with Tim Sherwood), then you’d do well have a look what cheeky chappy Adama Traore has written into his contract.
Having arrived for a £7million fee in the summer from the Catalan treble winners, it seems Aston Villa we prepared to go out on an absolute whim in order to please Traore and his agent, especially after watching their best players Delph and Benteke hit the high road in favour of better, bigger clubs.
It seems just five matches into his Villa career, the flying winger is half way to being the clubs highest earner.
After somehow managing to get by on his poultry £40,000 per week, a claus in his contract entitles the lucky sod to £75,000-a-week when the milestone of 10 matches has been reached.
Frankly ridiculous.

The current wage champions at Villa is none other than Charles Nzogbia (£65,000-a-week).
