Schweinsteiger seeks to sue toy company over Nazi soldier ‘Bastian’ dolls

Hong Kong toy manufacturers have landed themselves in hot water with none other than Bastian Schweinsteiger over a rather suspiciously accurate toy line.

Seen in the above and below pictures is ‘Bastian’ a “WWII Germany Army Supply Duty” that retails for around £80, and yes, Bastian is a Nazi.

Slightly miffed at a lookalike sporting such paraphernalia, including a winter coat for those blisteringly cold night fighting for the fuhrer, Schweinsteiger is said to be seeking legal advice over the use of his image.

With the hope of putting out some rather ugly fires, a spokesperson for DiD very much did the opposite when commenting that the resemblance was merely coincidental and the figurine merely represented a
“typical German”, before commenting
“We believe all Germans look alike,”
….right guys?…anyone?

The former Bayern midfielders responded to that ludicrous repost by confirming to German site SPORT1 that legal action will be taken;
“This is a clear violation of Schweinsteiger’s personality rights,” said media lawyer Ulrich Amelung.
“To see him as a swastika-bearing Wehrmacht soldier also constitutes a gross defamation and insult.”
