Already humiliated after president Platini was suspended due to an irregular payment received from a certain Sepp Blatter, UEFA have upped the anti in the lack of self awareness stakes and fined Man City after fans had the audacity to boo the Champions League anthem.
Sporting the behaviour of a tyrannical leader from a backwards country, the Daily Mail (not exactly the bastion of good behaviour), have reported that the organisation confirmed ‘disciplinary proceedings have been opened against City after match officials reported the ‘disruption of competition anthem’ before kick-off in their match against Sevilla on Wednesday night.’
Citizens fans have previously taken exception to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules that stung the club in 2013, along with the fact that several of City’s black players were racially abused by Russian supporters in the same year. Hence all the booing of course.
It only seems correct that we exhibit our freedom of speech by saying that UEFA really are a bunch of c****.
