Sometimes, just sometimes, football can do truly wonderful things.
After the country took in thousands of refugees, a story that has become a huge talking point worldwide, German football fans, not content with an already sterling reputation throughout Europe, held up banners during the recent round of games welcoming asylum seekers.

Borussia Dortmund, as part of their ‘angekommen in Dortmund'(arrived in Dortmund) initiative, even invited 220 of them to their recent Europa League tie with Norwegian side Odds Ballklubb.
And it wasn’t only Dortmund…
