Wales climb into FIFA world ranking top 10 for the first time in their history

With Wales on the verge of a famous European Championships qualification, It seems the FIFA ranking system has gone a little haywire since the nations rapid change in fortunes.

Since their brilliant win away to Belgium, Chris Coleman’s side have done an almighty jump from 22nd into 10th, ABOVE France, Italy and Spain as well as the newly-crowned Copa América champions Chile.d

Speaking to FAW Radio, Coleman commented:

It’s fantastic for the team’s efforts to be recognised along with those who have played an important role off the pitch, from the backroom staff to our brilliant fans. However, our focus absolutely remains on qualification for Euro 2016. That will be the measurement of success.

Goo on the lads….but wow, measurement of success indeed.
