After steam rolling Japan 5-2 in one side final, the US Women’s side returned to a glorious reception in New York.
With the streets crammed with fans, the UNSWNT were granted a ticker tape parade, the first to be given to any US female sports side. An honour that speaks volumes of how far the game has advaced across the pond.
