Former Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes slams his former employers for ruining players

May 20, 2015

Former Lillywhites bench warmer Heurelho Gomes, who currently ply’s his trade for Premier League new boys Watford, showed he’s in no way bitter after a sieving indictment towards his former employers when speaking to ESPN this week.

Whilst being no stranger to a clanger (bloody familiar in-fact), Gomes pinned his club misfortunes as well as pricey additions Paulinho, Eric Lamela and Roberto Soldado’s on the fact that the club simply ruins good players.

The Brazilian commented;

It’s the club [who are to blame]. Certainly, I would not recommend to anyone [to join Spurs]…

They paid 28 million pounds for Soldado, and they don’t play him. Or look Lamela, who was a great promise in Europe, but today you watch Tottenham games and he looks like he can’t play football at all.

To be fair to the current management staff who inherited much of the players, the trio Gomes eloquently mentions have been utter garbage for large portions of their time spent with the club. Was it AVB’s fault it or does it entirely rest with Redknapp then?

Sour grapes if ever we saw….
